I bought this Drawing tablet to gain more fine control when editing Photographs. What can I say? it does what it says on the tin. If your pen is not working remember to check the battery. I think the pen is ok, and not as flimsy as some people make out. I'm really impressed with the performance and large work area. I'm using the tablet with Corel Painter 12. The hand writing text recognition is really good. I had to load the latest drivers from logic first, then the one on the CD to get it to work. Today I installed the drivers onto my PC laptop. I inserted a new battery into the pen and it worked.

Then I remembered someone said that the battery that came with their tablet for the pen was dead. I did all this and it still didn't work, although the light on the tablet came on. You can then install the drivers on the CD supplied with the tablet. Then install the latest drivers from and restart your computer. I didn't realise that I needed to un-install any drivers for other tablets that I had on your computer first. I searched the web for info and found the relevant information. My experience was that the tablet did not work when I tried installing the drivers on the CD supplied with the tablet on to my Mac Laptop Pro. I also noted that some people said they had problems installing the drivers. I had read a lot of good reviews about this tablet so decided to buy one. I do though, it's awesome, actually pretty well made, thin enough, nice looking enough, very accurate.Īs one or two others have suggested though, one half the size is possibly better if you want it as a replacement for a mouse -and given how much I LOVE this thing, I may just go do that too.

There's no option to spin it upside down either so there's no way round this and the cable would be in the way anyway. For me, it's a shame the hard keys are down the left hand side as I'd like the working area to be closer to the keyboard (I have the pad to the right of it).

The flexibility of the keys (hard and soft) is great and even an idiot like me can change the functions. At around half the working area it still seems plenty accurate enough (although I do not use it for drawing which maybe needs the larger dimensions). There are various options to shrink the working area which works well but it does mean you have half the pad unused and taking up space on your desk. In this respect, frankly it's a bit too big as you have to make such large movements. I am happily using this as a replacement mouse. Lots of stuff already said so here is just my couple of thoughts on use.
